Allie

Such a tiny cat, so full of love
How is it possible for 15 years to go by so fast?
I miss her.

Thursday 3/22/18

An exhausting day.
I don't know if it's the time change or what, but do you feel like you get up,e from work and do a few things and then it's almost 8pm? It's crazy.
And I picked up dinner instead of cooking. Grilled chicken with hot peppers, garlic and potatoes.
Leftovers for lunch tomorrow and the soup and salad will be our dinner tomorrow night.

We are in what I call tha crisis mode at work.
Less than 2 weeks before the big audit and now everyone is worried and my desk is filling up with procedure folders that have been on other people's desks for almost a year. Sigh.

Lots of walking them back and forth to the President for approval today.

Steps. I know many people focus on getting 10,000 steps in per day.
I did too.
Then, since my diagnosis my step count really dropped.
I'm in the 5k range for a typical day.
And at night, like now. I know I've done more steps and that's why my legs feel like lead.
I've been up near 8k the last few days.
Who knows, maybe that will be my new normal.

I'm trying to be positive.
It's Spring!

At the Movies

We don't much go out to the movies, more often than not we like to rent them from amazon and enjoy at home.
We watched 2 Oscar nominees this Weekend - 3 Billboards and Lady Bird.

If you haven't seen them, stop reading! spoilers!

Well, mild spoilers I guess.

I guess I'm the type that likes a story all neatly wrapped up at the ending, :)

Both of these movies, were really good, but both!
you know the feeling when a movie goes to the black screen and then credits and you say...wait a minute - sometimes you expect it and sometime you're shocked?....

ok, I was shocked with both.
One more than the other...

Latest reads

I finished the following - more details to follow

The Last Season, By Eric Blehm
Pretty Good - it was an audiobook which I'm just starting to get into the last few months.
Good narrator and story, definitely need to know "what happened" true story.

A Few Minor Adjustments: A Memoir of Healing - by
Pretty good, depressing though because it hits too close to home.

Heft, By Liz Moore
Really good. Another audiobook. I loved this book. It was sad and funny and just a different book for me.

Dark in Death, by JD Robb
I think I'm done with this series....I can't help it. I know she writes so they can be stand alone, but it's just too much repeating from book to book and it's the same old set up, just the murder changes. And I can't even read the sex scenes anymore, lol. Please, it's just ridiculous now.

Those Girls, By Chevy Stevens
Not so much....it was sad and painful for me to read. I skimmed the last few pages and when I do that, which isn't often....

Now reading -
A Force of Nature by Jane Harper
So far, really good.
